The Yard is Central Kentucky’s premier indoor sports facility, serving athletes, teams, families, and community members throughout the year. From youth leagues and private lessons, training, and special events, our goal is to provide an exceptional experience for every guest who walks through our doors.

As a Front Desk Associate, you’ll be the first person our guests interact with. We’re looking for friendly, dependable, and customer-focused individuals who enjoy working with people in a fast-paced environment. If you’re organized, approachable, and take pride in providing outstanding customer service, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

As a member of our front desk team, your responsibilities may include:

  • Welcome athletes, families, and guests with a positive attitude.
  • Check customers in for court, batting cages, and field rentals, and lessons.
  • Answer phone calls and general questions about our offerings and facility.
  • Schedule reservations and process payments using our point-of-sale system.
  • Sell memberships, snacks, and beverages.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk, lobby, and common areas.
  • Clean and restock restrooms throughout your shift.
  • Pick up trash, wipe down tables, clean glass doors, and help keep the entire facility presentable.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties.
  • Work as a team to ensure every guest has a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience.
  • Perform other operational tasks as assigned by management.

Lexington Baseball & Softball (LBS) is the premier baseball and softball training program at The Yard in Lexington, Kentucky. We provide high-quality instruction for athletes of all ages and skill levels through private lessons, clinics, camps, and player development programs.

We’re looking for knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and dependable instructors who are passionate about developing athletes both on and off the field. Whether your background is in baseball, softball, coaching, or collegiate athletics, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide private baseball and/or softball instruction to athletes of varying ages and skill levels
  • Teach proper fundamentals, mechanics, and position-specific skills
  • Adapt lessons to each athlete’s goals, experience, and development needs
  • Build confidence through positive coaching and constructive feedback
  • Communicate professionally with athletes, parents, and fellow instructors
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming training environment
  • Represent LBS and The Yard with professionalism and integrity

What We’re Looking For

  • Baseball and/or softball playing or coaching experience
  • Strong understanding of the fundamentals and mechanics of the game
  • Positive, energetic, and encouraging coaching style
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, professional, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable working with athletes of all ages and experience levels
  • Previous instruction or coaching experience is preferred but not required

  • Part-time (evenings and weekends only)
  • Flexible scheduling based on your availability
  • Lessons are scheduled and coordinated by LBS management
