MEET COACH HOLLY BARNES
Holly was a player at Dunbar from 1999-2003 and went on to play college at Brescia University from 2004-2007. After returning to Lexington after college, Holly has coached at West Jessamine and Dunbar. She specializes in pitching, hitting, and fielding.
MEET COACH TY FORKER
Ty played at Dunbar and has been an instructor with LBS for 5+ years. He has also been instrumental in helping grow the Grays travel program by coaching and recruiting players around town. Ty specializes in hitting, fielding, and pitching.
MEET COACH GARDNER ADAMS
A Lexington native and Lafayette High School alumnus, Gardner Adams brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to his work with athletes at all levels. After a standout collegiate career at Asbury University, where he earned KIAC Pitcher of the Year honors, Gardner was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 2011. He went on to play professionally within the Braves organization and with the Traverse City Beach Bums of the Frontier League. Gardner later served as the Lead Pitching Instructor for the Cincinnati Reds Summer Baseball Camps and specializes in pitching and defense. His approach focuses on efficient mechanics, proper movement, and sound fundamentals to help players improve velocity, command, and overall performance while supporting their long-term development on the field.
MEET COACH NATHAN McKISSICK
Nathan McKissick is currently playing baseball at Midway University. Before joining Midway, he spent two years competing at the NJCAA level and two years at the NCAA Division II level, gaining valuable collegiate playing experience. In addition to his playing career, Nathan worked as a strength and conditioning coach for Athletic Republic, helping athletes improve their strength, performance, and overall athletic ability. He has also served as the head coach of a 13U travel baseball team, focusing on player development, fundamentals, and building a strong foundation for young athletes. Nathan is passionate about baseball, coaching, and helping players reach their full potential both on and off the field.
